Tsunami - The Backyard Hazmieh

Well where shall i start ... first of all the people that knew me have the idea that i didn't like tsunami before and stopped visiting them a couple of years back , not knowing that the team behind tsunami has changed until Zomato introduced us yesterday to the newest branch in The Backyard Hazmieh ..

From the moment you step in you can definitely see the difference , the welcome , the always smiling staff , the attentive and professional people that are ready to serve you ,We were greeted with a welcome drink till the whole group arrived so we can start our carnival of flavors ...




The Meetup menu consisted of the following :

Starters :

-Edamame : Served warm and salty on the outside , sweet and soft on the inside (just the way i like it ;) )
-Rice Paper Duck : Well not my favorite appetizer served , i couldn't distinguish the duck taste .
-Carpaccio white fish : the Star of the appetizers , tender thin slices of fish marinated in their own lemony sauce , made to be perfect !


Salads :

-Mango Salad : well as the name implies it has mango in it :P i loved the tropical taste and colorful presentation with a pinch of cashew nuts ..
-Tuna Tartar : My least favorite , the avocado taste was dominating the dish
-Fresh Crab : Tender bits of crab , PERFECT !
-Women's mistake : well i loved it though i have mixed feelings about it ...

Sashimi :

-Salmon sashimi , JUST WOW ! Definitely an order again kind of item !

Here starts the real deal and am gonna split this category to my PERSONAL favorite and least personal favorite :


Personal Favorite (and definitely will order again)

-Black Forest (A festival of flavors)
-Octopus tempura (allow me to say its the best thing ive ever tasted in my culinary life !!)
-Special Tsunami

-FUJI MAKI - with a twist of jalapenos on top just wow !
-Tasty Shrimp
-Special Eel


Least Favorite :

-Skyline (wierd taste...)
-Twister roll
-Avocado spicy shrimp

Desserts :

I left before they were served :( :P

Verdict :

This visit definitely changed my perspective to this place and to the improvement they did that is really impressive !
Definitely a must try ! and will visit them again and again !in !
