Pier 78 - Kempinski Summerland Hotel beirut

A place that deserves a high rating ! Yes they do ! from the moment you arrive ,yo uare welcomed by the always smiling host at the door to take your name and lead you to your table .. '

The place is new , nicely decorated and vast .. you can choose between round tables , square tables , rectangular for large groups or even a 4 person table inside some sort of a couch covered area , The menu is limited to almost 20 or more items only , which is perfect , so you don't get lost with several pages to choose from , you are there to have seafood and thats it ! AMAZING !

You are first served a small bowl of Labne with Crushed olives on top with a side of half crispy bread to dip in and amazing bread cubes that have the taste of "KESHK" and orangy look

We ordered the Fattoush which comes with grilled calamari , the way its presented is great since the calamari is placed in a fried bread in the middle and not scattered around in the whole plate so that who doesn't want it can just move it aside , and what caught my eye was the use of yellow bell-pepper which you rarely seee places using it in the fattoush , we also ordered the octopus provincal which was a bit dry and could have more sauce below it .

 I was intruided to try the hummus with beef shawarma and wasn't disapointed at all , creamy hummus paste below a decent amount of beef shawarma , the meat was tasty and easy to chew , the hummus was perfect ! with a top of chopped tomatoes , onions and parsley . The main dish was a plate of grilled seabass, it was cooked to perfection , gentle white meat laying on top of some greens with a side of tartar sauce and a pinch of lemon ! HEAVEN ,

 When we were done we were presented with a plate of fruits (honestly was a bit disappointed since you are in summerland which is supposed to be the highest rated hotel in lebanon now , and the fruits were just ones you can get from the market ..no exotic fruits or anything .)

Also 4 mini bowls of arabic desserts that i found not necessary since they weren't perfected , the meghli was not strong in taste where the rose water taste was dominant ,which is the case as well in the Snayniye ...


And another thing that caught my attention was that they mentioned that smoking / shisha is available on Zomato's page , but when we arrived smoking was banned ... so i'll be requesting an answer for that :P


 As an overall i would visit the place again for all the good things mentioned above , and one more thing the price range is way less than some places that offer the same menu options .. so this is a major plus for this place !
